Legal Speed Designs Flywheels go hand in hand with their performance clutch kits. All flywheels are constructed out of steel or chromoly for longevity and ultimate strength. Aluminum is a poor choice of material for flywheels because fatigue over time causes cracking and warpage. Some of their flywheels feature cooling dimples on the contact surface to help lower clutch disk temperatures. All flywheels are machined with maximum material behind the flywheel where the clutch disk contacts to aid in further cooling as well as prevent warpage.
